Environment and Infrastructure

Infrastructure is the backbone of civic life. America has fallen behind the rest of the developed world in updating and improving our infrastructure. It's time to change that. We also must develop in a way that protects our environment and is sustainable for countless future generations.

Agenda

  • Protecting and safeguarding North Carolina’s natural landscapes from profit-driven and unsustainable attacks on our environment.

  • Ensure everyone in the nation has access to clean drinking water.

  • Work to continue expanding North Carolina’s energy infrastructure with wind, tidal and solar energy.

  • National parks must not be sold to private land owners or loggers

  • Incentivize public mass transit within and between major population centers

  • Keep new and energy costly data centers from being built in district 8. Many Americans are already struggling with rising energy costs, and when a data center gets built next door and starts straining the local infrastructure you only pay more. I will keep data centers from being built in your community until they pay their fair share in energy costs.

  • Holding companies responsible for polluting North Carolina’s environment and natural ecosystems accountable in order to protect our beautiful state from reckless exploitation and destruction whilst also protecting the jobs of hard-working North Carolinians.

  • Protect North Carolinians from the negative health impacts caused by sources of pollution.

  • Advocate for antitrust and anti-monopoly laws in order to create a more competitive and healthy energy market which in turn will make energy grids more reliable and efficient.
