Foreign Policy and Immigration
Both my political allies and opponents have said this, and I agree:
“No more forever wars.”
Congress should not use its power to support endless wars, and American lives should not be put at risk in conflicts without clear goals. America is also a country of immigrants, and when done right, immigration makes us all stronger.
Agenda
-
Push for the United States to recognize a Palestinian state if elected. What Israel is doing in Gaza is no less than a genocide, and that blood should not be on American hands. We send far too much money to Israel that could be spent in our communities.
-
We must immediately stop sending weapons and blank checks to Israel and push for a permanent ceasefire. Hamas must also release the hostages and disarm.
-
Confront terrorism at home and abroad
-
Work with my colleagues to end the War in Ukraine and restore peace for the Ukrainian people.
-
Support a legal, clear, and expedited pathway for citizenship for hard-working, law-abiding immigrants, and the removal of those proven by a fair trial to be violent criminals.
-
Require ICE officers to clearly identify themselves, including mandating that their faces remain uncovered whenever interacting with the community, and by wearing uniforms with name tags.
-
Stop bullying legal immigrants who love their families, work hard, and earnestly want to be part of the American fabric.
